Founder Story

About Our Founder

Apostle Joseph Taiti, born in 1930, is the Bishop of Glorious Living Ministry and an author of 3 books. He was one of the pioneers of the Pentecostal movement in Kenya, way back in 1957.

During that time, political events made it extremely difficult to share the Gospel. A state of emergency had been declared by the British Empire in 1952, as the GEMA communities (Gikuyu, Embu, and Meru) were demanding that settlers return land and that Kenya be granted independence. The Mau Mau freedom fighters opposed anything associated with the Holy Bible, and those professing faith in Christ were being persecuted and even killed.

Amid these challenges, Apostle Joseph Taiti was jailed for six months, placed in the same jail-cell with hardcore criminals and the mentally unstable, with the apparent intention to end his life before completing his sentence. By the mercy of God, he was miraculously preserved and continued preaching the Gospel with even greater boldness.

In 1958, during a meeting of the Friends of the Holy Spirit Church—where several prophets had gathered—an angel of God appeared among them. The angel declared that, among all those present, Apostle Taiti had been authorized by the Lord to reach the new generation that would witness the End-Time Church, experience the rapture, and receive the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ in a unique kingdom where believers would be united with Him. By the grace of God, this word has come to pass; today, Apostle Taiti is the only person still alive from that gathering.

Later in life, he was involved in a fatal motor accident that required the amputation of his legs. Once again, through God's miraculous intervention, his legs were fully restored, giving him a second chance to continue his mission.

Statement of Faith

What We Believe

The Holy Bible

We believe the Bible is God's unchanging, infallible, and authoritative Word — the supreme guide for faith and life.

The Holy Trinity

We believe in the Holy Trinity: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit — three Persons, one God.

Salvation

We believe salvation comes by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth Jesus Christ as Lord (Romans 10:9).

Water Baptism

We believe in baptism by water immersion as a public symbol of new life in Christ.

Holy Spirit Baptism

We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as a subsequent, empowering experience for every believer.

The Rapture & Return

We believe in the rapture of the Church and the second coming of Christ to establish His eternal kingdom.
